Has anyone installed the Cinderella incinerator toilet in their motorhome. Be great to get some real life feedback?

Been looking at the gas usage which seems to be quite high, 11kg gas bottle is more or less 60 no1’s or no2’s. Diesel version is arriving after Christmas so might be more economical.

I suggest trying to find someone who has got one in their MH and get some real world feedback. The rest of us will be just guessing. :)

That is exactly what the OP is asking for.

No experience myself but my late cousin had a cottage on Galway Bay which had one, and he said it was expensive in energy to run, his was electric.
Thanks. I agree, the electric is not really an option, I am only carrying 3 x 100ah lithium batteries.

Quite so. Perhaps if the OP contacts the distributor it's possible that they will be able to give contact details of customers who have agreed to comment - always being cognisant that they they won't be dissatisfied users.

I would also very much like to hear from those who were parked up next to a vehicle which is equipped with this toilet

I know there are a lot more "alternative toilets" on the German Liner forum that I frequent so I did a quick search and here is the first post I read, I will have a bit more read and see if I can find anything more positive.

Hello Andi,

Have you ever tested or at least had a Cinderella shown?

If not, you should definitely do this in advance.

We had this part in the motorhome for a year. The burner is very loud in our opinion. The thing jumps during a burning process (2 h)

several times. At night, the burner ignition is clearly noticeable and from our point of view absolutely disturbing. Even the burner itself is not silent.

The whole thing is not odorless either, neither outside nor inside. In bad weather conditions, you should attach the chimney extension.

Your neighbors will thank you. The "burning bowl" should also be cleaned every 2 days in warm or hot weather. The urine stone

in the bowl then begins to smell.

With normal use, an 11 kg gas bottle is used up after 5 days. You should order the bags in good time from a Cinderella contract partner,

because they don't have the things in stock and have to order them at the factory first. (Delivery time 4-6 weeks.

If you decide to install, I still have 2 packs lying around.

Make sure that the chimney knee is installed upwards in the blunt angle, in the 90 degree angle sweat water forms in the bend and the Cinderella goes

then when switching on again for fault. This always occurs during breaks of 5-20 hours. When the sweat water was evaporated (after 2-3 days)

the Cinderella worked again. We always had to turn off the part for 15 seconds. When fixing the defect, the workshop had to take apart half the motorhome to change the angle and we had to sacrifice space in the bedroom because the whole wall had to be moved between the bathroom and the bedroom.

The Cinderella was actually developed for the Nordic Kotas and that may also fit very well, but for a motorhome in lightweight construction and "plywood walls" it is actually less suitable from our point of view.

I don't want to talk you out of the toilet, I just wanted to tell you our experiences, because I don't think there are too many of them. The price is not entirely without and therefore the investment should be well considered.

In this sense.

Wow! Doesn’t sound like the new generation of off grid toileting as the marketing bumph portrays! 🤣

And just for balance,

Since we also installed a Cinderella, I would contribute a lot to it.

The extension that can be plugged on top of the exhaust pipe is actually intended for the winter with increased snow.

An additional fan is not necessary, the Cinderella has a super fan by house where really no smell in the vehicle when doing your business.

I think it's exaggerated to empty the bowl every 2 days, we do it once a week with 2 people use.

The remaining urine salts in the bowl are not so easy to remove, here it is already necessary to fill the bowl with water and let the whole thing soft. So far, I could not detect odors that emanate from the urine salts. If the lid is lifted from the toilet, the fan will start anyway.

With unfavorable wind conditions and open Heki it sometimes comes to the Cinderella scent which one cannot deny.

The background noise is audible, especially when the burner ignites and there is a small defusion.

We have the Cinderella now the 3. Season in use and are very satisfied with it. With some cleaning work on the fan, exhaust duct and catalyst, they will thank you.

Thanks funflair, appreicate both your posts. I am defianlty in two minds what to do here, maybe its better to see if I can install a black waste tank.

Well black tank would be a whole new discussion, some love em and some hate them 😉 I think a lot might depend on the size of tank and where and how you do most of your travelling, I find it very easy and convenient abroad but possibly not so easy in the UK, although saying that we have not really had any problems in 4+ years but we do have at least 2 weeks capacity😀

Very true, its a hit and miss conversation with black tanks. I used to have one, 300L and got up to 3 weeks before having to find a site/coach yard etc to get rid. Are you using campsites with drive overs or campsites with manhole covers?

We have 250 litres so no rush to find a dump spot, abroad on Aires and Stellplatz it all seems to be drive over, in the UK it's a mix, some sites only cater for cassette at a higher level so even a long discharge pipe doesn't work, only once in 4 1/2 years have I had to use a bucket and that was on a private site in the UK before we were going to Goodwood where I didn't think there would be black dump and then we were heading to France, in hindsight we could have taken it with us , club sites in the UK are usually drive over but some have a cover to lift which works well to be fair, there is a fair amount of ignorance re black tanks in the UK sites network though.

I'm sticking with a conventional cassette.

If I need extra capacity there are several wheelie tanks designed for caravans with about a 40 litre capacity, which would last me a couple of weeks.

I've never been stuck where I could not find some place to dump after a couple of days.
But I carry a folding entrenching tool in case of an emergency of exactly this type.

In desperation, there is always some corner of a foreign field, that by digging a small hole, you can make it forever England.
(Apologies to Rupert Brooke!)

Bucket, that must of been......I have dug a few holes in my time in Africa in the middle of nowhere but I reckon the bucket beats me heads down :)

Have a look at the diesel version. Haven Off Grid in Aberdeen (Glide-Rite fitter) is running one st the moment and he can advise on consumption.

When I said "use a bucket" I may have to explain that was to decant the tank contents into the above ground elsan point not  well you get the drift I am sure:LOL:

So the options now include decanting your waste in a bucket with chemicals (the traditional norm), or decanting in a bucket after blowing your gases on your neighbours (SOG), or running a poo crematorium next to your neighbours?

I’ll just stick with the traditional method, thank you very much. 😂
