Just fitted one of these diesel heaters to My Iveco Box Van Motorcaravan Conversion.
FULL KIT = circa £114 off ebay. 5KW of heat. Bench tested first.
{ Watch out for import charges, try to buy from a seller that posts from the UK }

2KW, 5KW, even 8KW are available.
Really throws out the heat and for that sort of money is well worth considering.

LCD Controller instructions were a bit vague but Youtube Tutorials were great.

12V Pump can just be run to prime the system with diesel for initial use.

Initially pulls nearly 10A to ignite the glow plug but once fired up then the electric consumption is low.
Heater can also be set to come on and off at set times.

As a Mobile Motorhome Technician I am going to offer fitment of these but I am happy to give free advice
on My own experience fitting to My own van.

Even if they will possibly last just a few years for the money they are good value and safer than Catalytic gas fires etc as all the fumes
go outside the van.

They may well be well made and at a fraction of the cost of well known makes attractive to converters. But I would check your legal position if fitting them commercially as they probably don't meet any known UK spec. As they almost said on Ghost Busters, "Who're you going to sue?"

I agree they are good but I was just questioning the legal side of a "grey import" when fitted to a customer's vehicle. But I'm a born worrier. :)

I had a lucky escape with a Dimplex heater a few years ago. I used to sleep with it on as well. Luckily I was sat next to it during the day and the round fan { a bit like a hamster wheel } came loose and jammed and the heater got very hot quickly. Luckily I switched it off straight away but if I was a sleep I think that it would have caught fire.

2 points I would like to add to OP.
The first is that a youtuber stripped one down and made a side by side comparison to an Eberspacher. They were virtually identical.

The second point is spares are dirt cheap. Pretty much every component in them can be had for around £10 each off ebay.

A final bit of info. There are lots of 3rd party controller boards you can buy that add things like timers, tuning options, blutooth, wifi and much more. So if you are even slightly into electronics or programming they are really adaptable with most info about them openly available.

Now that is a surprise??. The Chinese are not nor never have been adverse to a bit of "reverse engineering" Vast amounts of "Chinese" product has had it`s origins in "western" research labs. Commercial espionage is part of the ethos. There are unrecorded cases in the USA of Chinese "interns" being "found" with infromation they where not officially accessed to.
