Good morning everyone,

We set off today to Chester! We have booked a little CL 7 miles from Chester and we will head for the racecourse on Thursday.

We are so looking forward to our first ever Mh Fun meet, the festival and meeting both old and new faces.

When are others heading off to or arriving there?

See you all soon.

Sue & Gilbert & our 2 hounds of the Baskervilles. x

Hi Sue and Gilbert

You sound keen, we will be setting off on Thursday to arrive on Thursday afternoon as long as we get the MH back from its service and MOT.

see you there.

Martin

Hi Martin,

We're currently away touring here and there in the mh and decided we'd like to visit a few places around the Chester area before we head to the racecourse so hence our early arrival in the area.

Hope your MOT and service goes smoothly for you.

Safe travels.

Sue

Chester is one of our regular destinations and we were there this weekend, stayed at Digby Farm near Saltney.

We were surprised how many shops are closed now, it doesn't seem the same somehow . We did book a table at our favourite tapas restaurant for next Saturday though :thumb:

Hard on your heels! Or would be if you had started from home.

Leaving tomorrow for a couple of days at Lady Heyes on the way over. Got to call in Lincoln & Sheffield on the way, then a steady meander over the Pennines.
Lunch somewhere overlooking Ladybower reservoir if we get on well.

You won't be able to get into park at the festival until 5pm, either go to Little Roodee which is just across the road or head for one of the Park & Rides. We'll be getting there around 7pm for the fun

There is a lot of redevelopment going to be done in the Shopping precinct, so the shops that were there have been reallocated into the Town.

I'm sure I saw a post from Jim saying we could get there earlier than that?

Will have a shuffty...

Yep..on page 34 of the rally thread, Jim says not to arrive before 12 noon on Thursday but after that should be OK.

Anyone going earlier on Thursday you can park on the Greyhound Shopping Park on Sealand Road which is 2 minutes from the racecourse and keep you out of the traffic.

If you do go Park on the side by John Lewis or on the Park by PC World, as you can park there without limit, by T K Maxx after a couple of hours there are cameras and you can get fined

Hi Mike, the Camperfest website tells you to enter post code CH1 2LY in to your sat nav. If you enter the code into Google Maps it does show an entrance into the racecourse.

Brisey.

Hi Shiela, yes there are good showers that the jockeys usually use, and plenty of toilets, water available on site as well.

Trouble is the shower heads are only 5ft off the floor :Rofl1:
