Is the venue at Chelston itself or elswhere. Although we have been to Chelston, we have never attended one of their events.

Just had a quick look at their website but can't find any details.

Thnx

Hey BrightSpark

As a patron of Specsavers I have just returned from an appointment with their excellent Optometrist, fully armed for the next two years. I have searched the web page you so helpfully supplied, again.

Guess what? :Rofl1: It would appear I cannot find specific details of where the events actually take place. On my previous post ( before visiting Specsavers ) I stated I had looked at their website and could not find the venue details. (you may have read that part, yes, maybe you didn't  thus the helpful link you supplied.

One particular rally they organised previously, was so heavily attended they had to hold it I believe at Exeter Racecource, hence my initial enquiry.:restmycase:

Many thanks for your informed reply chrisboyo, work permitting it looks like the Country and Western weekend.

Hey up Dai, if you look at the massive New Year Extravaganza weekend advert (if its not displayed just wait a few seconds & it will appear) In the bottom right hand corner a red banner appears 'click for details' that will take you to a Chelston News page, scroll down & the 2nd paragraph it says New Year Extravaganza & at the bottom of that paragraph there is a blue hyperlink 'view show details here' click on this & a new page opens with all the details of each weekend. Hope this helps!

We just cancelled our place as the weather has put us off, looking at the forecast I didnt fancy the travel there, best err on the side of safety we thought.
So if anyone else wanted to go better phone up for our place.
Great pity as I was going to celebrate my birthday there as well!!!

Where we are is quite close to Chelston and we popped in last weekend - there is a massive marque there and lots due to happen but as said it was cancelled due to the weather.

If you are planning to go their place is literally just of the M5 at Junc 26 - less than a mile and as it is on an industrial estate the roads would be kept fairly clear - A lot of effort has been put into it so if its on and safe to drive don't be put off

Another Chelston show this weekend.

Fri-Mon, free entrance, free camping (no hook ups and need to book in advance), free evening ents for campers, free refreshments. Oh, and free sweets at the Brit Stops stand!
