Hi all fiat ducato 3ltr the check engine warning comes on along with engine light I have tried 2 obd readers and both say no faults so nothing to clear just wondered if anyone as had this problem or got any ideas many thanks in advance

Not Ducato related but we had an issue with a car and none of the after market OBD readers would pick up a fault. We took it to a mechanic and he tried with his. Then he asked a fellow mechanic with a very expensive diagnostics kit and that failed to pick up anything either. Took it to a main dealer and they picked the fault up straightaway. Not sure why this was the case.

The only sure obd reader for a Ducato is to use multiecuscan and the correct adapter for your year model.
It could be anything.

Multiecuscan can be loaded to your laptop license £50 plus price of the appropriate adapter from Gendan Swansea

Cranking and starting engine too quick before all dashboard tell tales for diagnostics have cleared can cause this on our 150hp. Half a dozen oridinary starts and stops it clears itself.
