Hi everyone. My 2020 Fiat Ducato motorhome has just developed a fault. "Check engine" and flashing engine mgt light is coming on randomly. Light amber and goes off after 1 to 5 chimes. No change in vehicle performance. Time between warnings from 3 a minute to once every 5 mins. No pattern, speed or rpm. Had a ghost II immobiliser fitted last week. Wonder if anyone has any ideas. Thanks

Could be absolutely anything Derek, your going to need atleast a basic fault reader so we can assist

I expect the battery was disconnected when the immobilizer was fitted so it may be worth checking that all of the connections on the starter battery are tight .

I had a similar issue with a rouge dashboard light. Went to the Iveco main agent and there was a software update. All done under warranty.

Does the quality of the road surface make any difference? Or any obvious type of roads that effect it's commencement and frequency? As said though, the orange triangle is a "catch all " for a myriad of potential faults.
Are you able to get to a nearby garage with a code reader?Reliance are quite near you, you could ring and speak to Chris.

Thanks to all the above posts - I will get the code read and also check starter battery terminals. Waiting for a call back from Ghost installer. Have not noticed road surface affecting timing or frequency. Finally will get a software update - trouble is the nearest Fiat Prof Dealer is 90 mins away and very busy. Will report back. Thanks again

Also try Iveco commercial dealers. The Fiat vans are classed as commercial vehicles.

Thanks. Great bit of kit with very clear instructions. I ordered late yesterday evening and it arrived in darkest Cornwall 10:30 this morning! I’m not a Prime member so about £25 inc postage. All 3 vehicles in the family seem to be plagued with engine warning lights so I’m hoping this will demystify things!

Small update. Ghost immobiliser disconnect and problem goes away. Engineer coming back to load different software - no one seems to have seen this fault on a Ducato. They ran Diagnostics and the only thing that came up was Immobiliser. Injectors etc all ok.
