We will be travelling back to Calais soon after 10 amazing weeks in Europe, we are currently in Vichy mid France.
Does anyone know of a cheap vets for the tape worm tablet?

Although they don’t seem to be as cheap as they used to be, I think the vet at La Mailleraye sur Seine is still quite reasonable, with the advantage of a good aire within walking distance. Appointment’s can be made via email in English.

You've already gone past our vet. Usually the further from the channel ports the cheaper they are.

We have a routine of Friday at the vets Saturday 360mile drive up through Belgium, tunnel on Sunday.
Means if we want to see anything in Northern France we have to do it on the way down, however out of season the weather is seldom up to our high standards.
BTW although a good way from the channel the vet at Lons le Saunier was the most expensive we have ever found.

I got charged €13 by the vet in Buchy but they seem to charge a different fee depending on which vet does the appointment. We took our own tablets but as they were not on the approved list in France he sold us his own and didn’t charge an appointment fee. Wish the vets here were like that!

We normally use the vet at Mailleraye sur Seine and phoned to book and as someone previously, 🙄 sorry we cant do it we have not got a vet.
So went to the vet at Buchy €24 with our own tablet, this was 11 day's ago and like all vets the prices have gone up. 😯🙂 Bob.

Thank you everyone for the advice. We have a booking with the vet in Buchy at a price of 34euros including the tablet.

Just came back from the vet we have been using in Brugge, a 15 minute walk from the aire and she charged €77 for my 2 Jacks…
Lovely lady and she does a health check, cheaper than the other vet we used before and we stay a few nights in Brugge before an hours easy drive to the tunnel.

It's worth bearing in mind the vets tend to get pricey the closer you get to Calais.
I usually just do a search for vets on Google maps on my rough route back, then email asking for availability and price.
It's also more cost effective to supply your own worming tablet
