chausson welcome 510
Good afternoon guys

We are nearing an install of lithium /dc-dc on our Chausson 510 and we have 2 relays which go to the starter /leisure batteries as pictured
Now I’ve been told to remove the 50a fuse to disable the split charge from the leisure battery and also been told I need a relay

What I’m looking for is anyone that’s worked with this system before please

I can't help I'm afraid, but have you tried searching for CBE lithium install?

That relay will be used by several convertors.

I'm not sure I've correctly understood what you're trying to do here.

I think you're suggesting that you currently have a split charge relay and want to replace it with a DC to DC charger?

Removing the fuse from the existing split charge relay will break that circuit and disable it. I would personally remove the whole thing and all associated wiring if possible or disconnect, isolate and label the cabling for it at the leisure battery side as a minimum.

I hate leaving legacy bits of electrics floating around in a vehicle as it can lead to all sorts of issues further down the line, especially if the vehicle will pass on to another owner who doesn't know the history.

You then need to install the DC to DC charger as per the manufacturer's instructions.

I'm also not really sure I've understood why you have 2 relays at the moment and what the relay you've been told you need to install is doing.
