morning all, I’m new to motorhoming and I’ve run into some problems whilst on a site in Bridlington today. First of all my leisure battery has stopped charging around 2 weeks ago. EHU has been fine but last night the AUX 20amp fuse blew and keeps blowing then to top it all the power light on the CBE516 charger has gone out and I have no EHU power. My 12v leisure battery was fully charged and all the lights are working off it at the moment. I’m really struggling and hopeful for some help, thanks, Mark

The wiring diagram showed a blue wire that comes from the passenger seat base that opens the relay to link the batteries. I managed to locate this and thought it headed to the glovebox fuse area, in fact it goes under the sound insulation/rubber floor matt and joins onto a grey wire almost directly between the seats. The plastic connector that allows the blue cable to piggy-back onto the grey wire had seperated (Poor quality component). A firm push back togther to test and the panel light is on to indicate a charge from the vehicle when running! At last, hopefully this post will save others with similar problems. The connector is directly under your feet when moving between the cab and seating area, so it is easily damaged.

From another forum. This guy had the same problem. The Habitation battery would not charge.

As for the NO EHU are you sure you have not tripped the fuse box outside the MH or the Fuse Inside the MH. The MH will have a Earth Leakage Trip Box somewhere near where the power comes into the MH. As you have been blowing fuses there must be something wrong on the AUX circuit that needs investigating.

Thanks very much I will take a look at this. The EHU is fine now, the box had tripped outside (rookie mistake) but the AUX fuse is blowing for fun and I don't know what is on the circuit as MPs thing seem fine unless this is something to do with the leisure battery issue, thanks again

I am easily confused, but as I read your post you say the battery stopped charging 2 weeks ago

but then you say it is fully charged and running the lights, if not charged for 2 weeks and being used, unless you have a solar panel this doesn't seem right

how new is the MH? did you buy from a dealer?

Sounds like it might need looking at, if under warranty get it seen to, although hopefully when found it will be something simple

Hi I have charged the battery fully with a battery charger and all the lights etc are fine, the alternator isn’t keeping a full charge on the leisure battery, the MH is 7 years old and I don’t have a warranty. Thanks

I'd disconnect leisure battery completely charge it fully check it a couple of days later to see if holding charge if it is then something is then probably something is running to drain battery pain but sure way to find out or just buy another leisure battery
I'm crap at electrics but i'd try easy options first

Try cleaning leisure battery connections if alternator charging starter battery ok
