I saw a recent post where it was suggested that Chausson had told someone that Lithium batteries could not be installed in their motorhome. Thought that this was a bit strange so I made enquiries.

They confirmed that Lithium batteries can be installed in their motorhomes and provided a PDF of instructions for Ford, Fiat and Renault based vehicles copy attached.

One thing I didn’t understand was that the instructions stated that the battery must be a Super B Lithium Camperdice 100 AH one - I presume that they may have some interest in that company and that a 100 AH battery from Fogstar would operate without any issues.

More recent vans are more likely to have DC, AC and solar chargers that are compatible with lithium batteries.

As for the brand, maybe that model drops straight into the battery tray without modification? I don't think there's an electrical reason you couldn't put in another brand with a bigger capacity?
