Looking at this model and there is a lot to like about it. However, I am concerned that it has a small gas locker which only carries a 6kg cylinder. I am just wondering if anyone out there has any experience of coping with this, especially on a continental holiday? Any other comments would also be appreciate.

My Geist has space for continental sized gas cylinders. I can only fit 6kg Calor due to the diameter. But there's loads of vertical space, so an 11kg Gaslow refillable fits fine.

Firstly i have a 640 23 plate. I can confirm that i have installed an 11kg bottle with ease. As far as gas usage goes i have just filled up with gas… i used 2ltrs in 6 week touring. Obviously depends on how much you cook, we cooked most days.

We changed ours for a refillable LPG gaslow system and have never ever been short of gas . The fact that you are heating by diesel saves a lot . Btw just finished a 6 week trip in Europe and although we did top up the gas (only for the experience in a foreign country ) once we came back with at least half a bottle

I have a 640 first line and I have a 13Kg propane in mine. It was fitted by the dealer. Remember the van's heating is Diesel.
