We are thinking of buying a much more modern motorhome to replace our 1998 Hobby 750 and have seen a nice Chasson Flash 20 2014. Strangely the cab battery seems to be placed under the passenger seat. The habitation battery is under the other. Is this common on this type of motorhome? There looks to be space in the engine compartment for a battery? Also any tips what to look out for etc. With this model would be appreciated? It’s a huge upgrade (expense) for us so want to get it right and not make a costly mistake. Thanks

She has been a great van. We have had her for 15 years and done many thousands of miles across UK Europe and Morocco, but unfortunately the rot to the floor is becoming harder to repair. Also as a 4.5 ton it is considered HGV here in France and as our English licences are about to expire we are obliged to now change to French licences. Unfortunately since you know what ´grandfather rights’ are no longer transferable so she has to go. Still got plenty of life in her and I’m hoping she will go to a good home.

In that case make sure you get extra security on the ford, as with all motorhomes they are relatively easy to get in but fords are a little easier and a certain type of people like to borrow them and not bring them back….😉😎
