changing vehicle battery on 2016 Fiat Ducato motohome

Having watched u tubes on the subject until I am goggle eyed, i can certainly do this BUT do i need to put a 12v supply with a battery pack under the bonnet so I dont upset the systems whilst i disconnect, remove and install new battery. I have a Sealey battery pack that shows 12v across the grips when turned on so would set this up on the jump points under the bonnet.
 
Yes, just remember the +tive terminal at the battery will still be live. It won't bite you, but can be shorted out causing other problems. Wrap it in a plasic bag or similar.

Generally, if you don’t open a door for an hour, it will all shut itself down and you can just crack on.

That’s been my experience anyway.
