Changing a switch

i'm a newbie
Good Afternoon Funsters I have a 2009 Burstner t700 and the switch for the 2 lights above the cooker needs replacing however I cannot see how the plate that the light and switches and extractor fan comes away from the bottom of the cupboard can anyone help Regards Paul

Picture please so people can help.
Ours is a circlular switch and just pulls out, it’s tight though

Looking at it, I would think it's a bit like a switch in a car in that it pulls out (not easily) as it's held in situ by a couple of plastic spring lugs that 'snap' into place.. have you got the replacement switch to check it?

Of course if the switch is being replaced, does it matter if it breaks when you're getting out ....??

Managed to pull switch which broke then managed to maneuver the rest of the broken switch out
