This wonderful little campsite in Venosc, Les Deux Alpes, is currently shut by government decree after the floods in June. I had no idea. The adjacent village was destroyed. So sad. Hopefully they can recover.

So sorry to hear that. It is frequently recommended as a campsite for skiing.
We stayed there two years ago at the end of August (not for skiing)

just when the campsite was about to change ownership. Fantastic walking and horrific cycling - Alpe d’Huez!
We had a pitch on the river bank and there were notices about the risk of flooding.

We have stayed there 7 times at Easter to ski. It’s a fabulous site and the new owners are lovely. Some of the photos of the nearby village are as devastating. We used to joke about the evacuation sign in the toilet….not so funny now 😔. I really hope they can come back from this.
