Chamonix recommendation

We are in Florence on the way back to Blitey, any recommendations in Chamonix please? We want to stay 2 nights before heading to Troyes. Ideally with facilities.

We always go back to camping Mer de Glace.
A little outside the town, there are lovely views of Mont Blanc. You can walk in or get bus. At Les Praz, there are lifts up the other side of the valley, much cheaper than the ones up Mont Blanc. There are great walking trails horizontally, again with wonderful views over Mont Blanc.

Last time we went, we stayed in the carpark for the main Mont Blanc lift so as to get the very first one up, just a couple of us in the lift and on our own going straight over in the gondolas to the Italian side.
Then we went to the campsite.

Same as Riverbankannie we use mer de glacé site when we go to Chamonix
