Does anyone own an air breaking vehicle like my Nissan for towing a fifth wheel
When I disconnect from the rambler and leave it not running for 20 mins the air in the breaking system falls from 7bar to 0bar.
Not sure if this is meant to happen or wether I have a very slow leak that I cannot find ?
Any help would be appreciated

Have you had a listen? On trucks you can often hear where they're hissing, sometimes giving the suzy a twist sorts them out.

Would I be right to assume that the air brakes are just on the Rambler and the Nissan is standard hydraulic ?, assuming this is correct where are the compressor, air tank, power supply and gauges situated, truck or 5th wheel ?

The air brakes are on the Celtic Rambler, the truck has the compressor and air tank along with the connecting hoses for the rambler. I guess I will just have to ramp the Nissan and check all connections with fairy liquid spray lol.

IF they works correctly when it's connected and only drops when it disconnects, (A) does it matter (B) is that not what it is supposed to do? Why do you need the system pressurised on the truck if it has normal hydraulic brakes?

Keep it simple and stick the ends of the suzy into a bucket of water, if no bubbles look elsewhere with a soapy water spray especially around the connections.

Just to let you know encase someone else has this problem , it was the small release valve at the bottom of the air tank that was sticking.
