Hi all, I want to add a light to my van, and am planning to wire it directly to the Ds300 using a spare socket on the big Users connector block labelled lights group A or B.

Does anyone know what make/size of pin I need to get hold of to plug directly in to the socket. I don't even know what its proper name is.

Thanks
Andy

I bought a full plug to get a pin for mine when I changed the cable going to the solar connection.

They‘re all the same just different amounts of terminals.

I’ll try to find where I got it from…..or find the rest of the plug and pins.

Yes, I have seen a full set of replacement plugs, pins for sale in a standalone kit. This seems a bit wasteful, when I only one pin.

They’re called Mate-N-Lok……I agree it’s a bit of a waste but at 7 quid for a plug at least you’ll have 5 spare, should the crimp not work out first time.

Great, thanks very much for looking that up. Looks like it might be the answer.

I have found bags of 10 connectors at 12voltplanet. Luckily I realised that I needed female sockets, not male. All good (so far). Thanks again for the help.

By the time you add the £4.95 delivery from 12v planet on, thats as expensive as the full plugs from Amazon……but yes you want the female pin.

It's true the delivery is pricy, but I needed some other stuff as well.

You could get a 2-pin set if you only want one pin
or a pack of 10
