CBE DS300 12v Distribution Box replacement

Chausson 12 v Distribution Unit

I have a 2020 Chausson 711 in which I need to replace the 12V Distribution box.
It is CBE DS300-TR 209052. I am assuming the TR relates to Trigano the Chausson Group.

When I search for a replacement all I can find are DS300 U.K. 209000 or DS300 U.K. 209018

They all look the same externally but can any of the Techy guys on here tell me if these can be used as a direct replacement please.

I know I can go through the Chausson dealership for a replacement - but it will probably cost around 3 times the price for what I may be able to purchase elsewhere.

I have also just posted this on the Chausson Owners Page on Facebook in the hope that someone may know the answer.

They are bespoke to the manufacturing group. Each board has a slightly different set of functions so although you would probably get most of the things to work you may find one or two no longer function. Unfortunately, it's a lottery which ones wouldn't work

Thanks - have written to CBE to ask if other units might be suitable, as well as emailing my Chausson dealer for a direct replacement price. You will see following GeoffnDee’s post I have also emailed apuljackelectronics re a potential repair as a further option.

I had a similar issue on my 2015 Chausson and unfortunately they are not compatible I bought one to try and had to send back , I think I was around £250 for one from a Chausson dealer they are also year specific

Thanks. You are confirming what I have been fearing - the more I investigate it.
I will follow through the actions I have previously mentioned and see where it takes me.

Well folks - here is where I am now with my issue following my carelessness.
CBE just replied and confirmed that the variants of the DS300 are not compatible with my vehicle and that the specific variant must be used. They refered me to a Chausson dealer to order.

Just spent some time chatting on phone to Apuljack Electronics! The guy was absolutely superb and knows the DS300 and its variants well. Their cost to repair is around £220 and given what I have done he recommends a new one (quoted at £265 this morning by River Motorhomes) as I may have beaten up the unit which then might let me down later even if repaired. He does not recommend any variant either, as I should get the correct one. He said it is possible that I could also have damaged the control panel in the Hab area, but I won’t know until I replace the DS300. They can replace/ repair the control panel for a similar price if needed.

So, I am going for the exact replacement. River Motorhomes have one on order now with delivery January. They are also great to deal with.
