I know how y'all like toilet threads, so settle in...
We have the standard round toilet with the orange cassette. Up till now I hadn't give much thought to the cassettes innards, but it has gone wrong. The lever felt really loose, and further investigation showed there was no black disc underneath the hole, just a lever moving back an forth in the cassette. I am guessing the seal thing has become disconnected. I am really not looking forward to retrieving it, so would appreciate advice as to how it is attached 😕

Ours comes off frequently...got it down to a 10 minute repair.... I'm not at all bothered with fishing it out amongst the contents that a cassette is designed to hold...push fit...practice...it will come off again no doubt...Happy Fishing... I'm aware you can empty the cassette prior to performing the above task...but that increases the repair time...😀😀😀😀👍😃🇪🇦

I’ve no idea, but can recommend this for the retrieval 🙄😇

Failing that, then back to the cheaper version…..

The blade as it's called is a terrible and weak design. On the underside is a 4mm peg in the centre that locates into a hole in the lever. Of course this peg fails and often snaps off. A replacement is under £10 and it is an easy 10 minute fix if you have a spare.

Easy job to sort. The section round the hole you are talking about comes off once it’s been rotated about 40 degrees. There are marks on both parts to show this, then you can just have the poo and pee coated parts to play with as you wish. And order a new blade to fit to the assembly. Nice little job on an autumn evening in front of the telly 👍🏻👍🏻
