Carver 5500 Turbo Fanmaster Gas Operation

Hi all,

We have a Carver 5500 Turbo Fanmaster. On electric everything works as it should. On gas, I get a little pop of flame in the viewing window but it never ignites and stays lit. It did work about 6 months ago. Unlike the fridge I can't see an easy way to clean the jets out, the manual doesn't mention it either, any clues?

We will be looking at a diesel heater to go alongside this unit probably, so it's not massively vital.

i have just bought a caravan set everything up, then tried to get the heater to work but tried playing for hours! ive got gas to the heater because when i hold down the know and turn it, it ignights but when i let go it goes out also the fan aint coming on when the slide the slider across, but ha...

Thanks, I think I'll end up sending it off for repair. Found a company on fleabay that claim to do it.
Either that or proceed with the diesel heater anyway...
