Carthago Parts - Door Handles

Information which may be useful to some. As you know Carthago were using Hartal habitation doors along with the handle that has a problem with the linkage breaking. Carthago have apparently stopped using that door now ( I wonder why?). As a result, the offending handle is no longer a stock item by Carthago and means it is “ a special order”. This means that it would take weeks to obtain from Carthago and I am sure Carthago would reflect that in the price. One dealer has had an order in since October and has been told by Carthago that they may be available by May!!! It would appear that parts supply from Carthago is nothing short of diabolical and if you contact them they just refer you to your dealer. Apparently they cannot even supply parts for nearly new vehicles and do not seem bothered. On a positive note, if anyone needs a handle, contact Jack at Camper UK. He has managed to obtain stock from Burstner ( same handle). According to him Burstner parts supply is a lot slicker than Carthago parts supply.
