Hi
The rear view camera has decided to pack up on our C-Tourer.
The screen appears to be working as I can bring up the menu etc. I take it that there’s a 12v supply to the camera itself and would like to check the obvious fuse.
My manual says it’s a 3amp under the steering wheel, but the smallest under there is a 7.5amp & all appear to be good.

Does anybody know where else to look?
We’re at Malvern if there are any budding electricians on site.

Thanks. Unfortunately there are no answers in that thread.

I'd be tempted to have a look in the garage, there are at least two fuse holder banks under the perforated metal cover, not saying the camera one is in there, but it's worth a look. That was where I eventually found the 10amp fuse for the Hella socket on the dashboard when I popped it (tried the wife's milk frother via an 80 watt inverter, but it was having none of it  )

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I’ve checked all of those in the garage. No joy.

It would appear that bodywork will have to be removed to gain access to the camera, so I want to exhaust all other options before I head down that route.

Anyone else have any Carthago camera experience?

You could try contacting The Carthago Technical Dept on line via e-mail. I did in the past asking a question about The DVT roof mounted aerial and how its powered, amplified, if at all
It took a couple of days to get a response from them, but at least they did, albeit a very short reply, made me think Lenny HB had written it.:giggle:
When you find the technical dept on The Carthago Website, just ask the question of how the rear view camera is powered, and where from, hopefully they will help you, but they might refer you back to a dealer, fingers crossed they wont do that.
Maybe try Reliance Motor home servicing, they have a good reputation for fixing things, and are approved by Carthago for warranty & other repairs(y) here's a link to them below.
Good luck.

Not camera related, but we have just been to Reliance for our first habitation check, and also to have an external gas point installed. Really impressed with their service and overall approach to getting something sorted. We have already booked for next year's hab check and 2yr FIAT service with them.

Thanks for posting, I had no idea that Reliance did the oily bits, but knew they were highly rated for everything Hab related, also that they were Carthago authorised for warranty/service work.
Have they only recently started doing Fiat servicing, I wonder?
Its good to hear of another good review.

I too was pleasantly surprised to hear that they could handle the FIAT servicing, as it makes it a one-stop shop. It might be that they only take on the typical oil, air, fuel filter, belt checking adjustment type servicing as is necessary to tick the service book, and for anything else it needs to be taken to a FIAT Professional Garage? Our next hab check is now set for the end of May 2023, as this one was deferred from the end of June (with Carthago's approval) in order to fit in with Reliance's work schedule. If however, everyone does as we have done and booked many months ahead, it will become almost impossible to get anything done with Reliance within an acceptable time-scale (unless they expand!)
