Hello,

Anyone know the best place to get a telescopic table leg for my Carthago, we haven't taken delivery yet but should be arriving in a few weeks.

I would like to change the table leg to telescopic but it will need to have the same stud pattern.

can you afford the extra weight ?

I think you will have a job to match the stud pattern,our telescopic base was smaller than the fixed leg,POH was offering one a while ago,don't know what happened to it

It’s a tag axle, it’ll be fine.
I’ve owned one and it weighed no more than about 4200kg empty. It’ll be plated at 5000kg at least, so 800kg of payload.

We viewed an e-chic which had a telescopic table leg, so surely you can get them. Just a case of the pattern is the same. Or I suppose I can just drill new holes in the legs.

I’ve looked at doing a similar swap and found a few telescopic legs from suppliers in Germany. The ones I’ve looked at have 6 floor fixings but my leg only has 4 so I’m reluctant to go any further. The most likely to do the swap would be the Lippert Cosmo 2. This looks to have an identical mechanism at the top for the sliding function but this does have 6 floor fixings. Does anyone have any idea wether the fixings are into rivnuts or captive nuts in the vans floor?
