Just tried to get lpg at Carrefour Reims. We could not get the pump to latch on to the big dish French adapter. A motorist also filling his car tried too - he could do his own but not ours
Anyone else has problems ??

Heat and wear and tear does effect the seal. When very hot I have to borrow a seemingly identical UK spigot from my local Flogas depot. Cold days mine fits fine.

Not very hot, overcast and less than 20 degrees and we have only used it twice or 3 times before. Certainly not as often as a car driver.

Sealing it onto our outlet was fine just could not get nozzle to attach

Sure you had the French one and not the German one as they're very similar and an easy mistake?

I'm confused now (easily done nowadays) because having just gone to the Gaslow site to check the available adapters there's no mention of a German one. There is a Gaslow Euro adapter but that has an external screw thread.

MichaelT The adapter you have posted isn't for France. The dish type is the correct one for France, the type the Op is having problems with.

Yes I was responding to your post saying you did not know there was a German adapter?

Not an answer to the poster’s issue but have you had any problems filling up with LPG in France? When we were there last year Total garages wouldn’t let you self-fill and off motorways, garages with LPG were few and far between.
Currently approaching Dieppe and hoping we don’t have the same problem with our French adaptor, assuming we find some LPG.

We've used L'Eclerc at Yvetot in the past but you've probably gone past 🙁

I’ve used that one but the only trouble we have is having to reverse out after paying because the kiosk height.

We just swung round and drove out 😀

Now in Troyes and on a surprise mini meet with bellabee Nutrocker Pat and Helen of Troy !
Has the adaptor been dropped and might be bent?
Not to our knowledge

Yes, the French one but of course we did get the other 2 out of the bag just in case !

Now at Troyes, we carried on as did not want to spend too much time on it having read that the very nice municipal aire here can fill by 1pm.
We saw bellabee (plus 2 other MHs) ahead on the run in from the D677 and dodged left when they went right but they still beat us !!🤣🤣

The Avia attended filling station has an LPG pump and also Adblue on draught - plus helpful staff. Auchan supermarket had an unattended pump but we had to reverse in to use it last time we were there.
