I have a 2006 timberland freedom van and the carpet needs replacing on the roof inside, any ideas how this can be done.

Only ever seen inside one Timberland Freedom and that didn't have a cloth roof lining, it had vinyl coated panels. Just had a quick search and all the ones I can see for sale also appear to have the standard vinyl type interior ceiling. If yours has a carpet like covering then I am guessing that this may have either been something that is specific to your particular model or has been applied by a previous owner.
If it is not factory fitted then I would probably start wondering why it was fitted and what it may be hiding.
I would guess it is probably done using standard 4 way stretch lining carpet. If it is sagging/unsticking then it could be that it was stuck on using cheap contact adhesive. The carpet is available all over the place, last time I brought some I got it off of eBay. Just search for Van lining carpet. Not sure of the best way to get the current carpet off apart from trying to peel it off maybe with the help of some contact adhesive thinners/remover. If you do decide to replace it with new lining carpet make sure you use a decent High Temperature contact adhesive specifically for headlinings.
Biggest issue might be if the lining carpet goes right across the roof, i.e. continues inside the overhead lockers.

Using impact adhesives in confined spaces require plenty of airflow. I remember feeling quite squiffy when fitting a headlining in the forecabin of a yacht once.
