Had a phone call today from Caravan Guard who I am currecntly insured with. As my insurance is renewing next month they needed to inform me that as I have a Ford base vehicle the underwriters need me to use an approved steering wheel lock. The choice was Disclock, Milenco, or Stoplock Pro.

No problems with that, but it will cost £50 to £140 to comply, depending on what I choose.

Guess anyone with a Ford base will have the same convo.

Have shop around first.
Their quote for my motorhome renewal last week was over £1500 - 3 x the Comfort quote

Not just Ford. I had the same on my Fiat when at last renewal I increased the value of the van. I chose the Stoplock Pro. I thought it would be a faf putting it on and taking it off all the time, but it’s not and it’s a visible extra level of security.

Swapped our 24k motorhome for a £50k one and Caravan Guard asked us as well to fit a steering wheel lock due to the increase. Stoplock Pro for us as well simple and visable so not a problem

Always fit a disklok. The insurance have never asked and I haven’t told them. Just a good visible deterrent.
