I would get a mifi that can operate away from a power source and a payg sim - the whole package would be less than the price quoted and you would be able to take your wifi hotspot away from your vehicle.

It's not going to be any more reliable than just using your phone.

Even if it was does anyone really need WiFi when driving that badly?

In this country I generally use my phone as a hotspot unless it is somewhere where O2 doesn't work in which case I try the Three MiFi.

EE does have good coverage around here but it is expensive for data in Europe the last time I looked.

I've not had a lot of luck with Huawei mobile devices and I hate my phone! It also won't do allow a mobile hotspot.

EE have the best coverage round here so will stick with them for the PAYG phone, might think about changing it though as the screen is so small and my fingers are so fat! Might even go for a phablet .... will wait and see if ERNIE is good to me in the next few draws.
