Canopy weather strip

Anyone know about canopy weather strips that fit along the awning rail and stop water coming down the gap between the canopy and the MH?
We lost ours a few days ago in a storm somewhere around Lisbon (didn't hear or see it come off as the wind and rain were so noisy).
Are these strips necessary for protecting the canopy box or are they simply for stopping rain coming down the gap?

Good question. They didn’t fit one to our awning. I’m thinking of some hardsish closed cell foam rubber.

Yip. That looks like it. The old one went the full length if the canopy.
