Maybe it's me but, my parents have just changed vehicles but have a holiday booked already (prior to the decision to swap their MH)

They explained this to the campsite and asked if they could move their holiday for in a few weeks time

The owners said that as they had only paid their deposit thet couldn't but, if they had paid it in full then they could!

So what's the piggin difference?

I told dad he should have said OK then, I'll pay balance now before you cancel it, but was too late

Pity as they have lost their business and ours for any future bookings

Customer service at its best

Ain't it just!
If they can swap dates for balance paid in full, then I can't see the difference, especially if dad paid in full there and then to swap the dates
Shame, as £25 has just cost them potential regular visitors in mum and dad, and potentially us if we ever decided to go

They were due to go on 6th June

The computer says no.😩

We lost £50 when we sold our Moho and were expecting to take the caravan instead but on a later date.

Guess where we won’t be going?

Which site was that, please?

It was in Slimbridge
Terrible though isn't it
Surely it's not good advertising to others for them plus, people like you and my parents will be reluctant to ever go again, potentially losing out on repeat bookings

I suppose it does deter chancers who book then cancel when the weather is not good or similar.

True, but I can't understand why if you'd paid in full they would move the hol but not if only deposits paid

We’ve had a much better experience from Trevedra near Sennen in Cornwall. Sold our California last year so had to cancel they held our deposit for us for a year. We were due to go couple weeks ago until COVID struck and we had to reschedule. Again they rescheduled without a problem and no loss of our deposit. Great customer service

Much the same during covid rhoses that handle it well kept my money and I rescheduled
Other I took refunds.why it went down to the approach of the vendor

We had to cancel one last year and they kindly allowed us to rebook in the same season however, for one reason or another, didn't manage to get, but appreciated them helping us
Last Sept whilst on Wolds Farm in Flamborough, we were staying for 2 nights and had to leave after the 2nd due ti hubby being poorly, and they were so kind to give us a free night, any time, and season but we never took the offer up, we just appreciated their kindness
