Hi Folks,
SWMBO and I are thinking of going to the Canary Islands from mid December through to early Feb on our MH.
Driving there and taking the ferry should be a great adventure. We have been down through Spain several times already.

But looking at Search4Sites and other site apps there appears to be very few camp sites, mostly one night stops.

Were hoping to stay about 2 weeks on 3 or 4 different sites on the different islands. We're wondering if there are campsites open over the winter months that anyone recommends. We like wild camping, but they are usually for a night only.

Does any one have experience of visiting the islands over winter and if there are suitable longer term sites that will be open.

All the best,

Here on Lanzarote there are loads of beautful places where you can wild camp. As long as you don't take the piss.
Feel free to pop in to see us if you need anything.

On Fuerteventura there are a few camp sites down the east coast.
Also lots of beaches on east coast where you see lots of campers

The very southern bit past Morro Jable is good for campers.

Also top West side has loads of vans around El Cotillo.

That sounds like an attractive idea! 👍

Hi, We have not priced the ferry yet as the sites are our first concern. But it’s a good idea to do so, I’ll have a look this week. 😀👍

The ferry price is scary. Bound to be as its a long way.

Barriesimpson is going to get some sites on SFS and I have been helping.
