There are two types of automatic boxes available. 'Normal' torque converter autos, and automated manual boxes such as the Iveco Agile Auto and the Fiat Comfortmatic. I had an Agile Auto and wouldn't want another. Now have a manual box. Many Fiats came out with the Comfortmatic, but I think the latest Ducatos are now offered with a true auto box.

(A very large percentage of European motorhomes are built on the Fiat Ducato base.)

The auto on the fiats only came out in 2006, with few other vans even doing that. It will be better to decide what you want in the motorhome and a budget before trying to source something that fits your needs.

I am surprised at the OP's question.

Are there any motorhome base vehicles that do not offer some type of automatic?

Has OP opened any brochures?
