Hi I am absolutely new to this so please bare with me. I am looking for hardstanding pitches in Essex that can accommodate a 38 foot long American RV motorhome. I need somewhere where i stay over winter. Just wondered if any of you good people had any ideas.

Thank you
Col

Could try Little Baddow Hall fruit farm, it’s a C&MC CL with two lots of five pitches , a bit tight to get in but I’ve seen one of our members in there with a Fleetwood Bounder, 34ft I think.
Hardstandings not regimented but adequate, water and waste ok.
You would however need to be a C&MClub member and the owner is particular on the 28 day move rule I believe.

Hi Mitzimad, have you got any contact details for the Thorpe Le Soken brewery? Or have I missed something? cheers

I didn't even know there was a brewery - and I live 5 mins away!

one problem might be is that CL sites are for licensed for 'leisure' - so full timing might be an issue - there was a garden centre in elmsted market off the beaten track that used to 'accomodate' such enquiries and had a static site attached ...... don't know if its still open though ,,

He meant Thorpe Le Soken, @BreweryDave stayed there.

Think you might struggle at 38’ but no harm asking.
Also consider if you can get a seasonal pitch on a CCC Site, we did that at Hertford with an RV, also look at

Not Essex, but may suit your needs, owner is Rob, lots of full timers there and a large place ( take the small cl listing with a pinch of salt!)

You could try Kelvedon Hatch Camping and Caravan Club site Doddinghurst near Brentwood CM15 0JG. Open to members and non members. They have hard standings and seasonal pitches, but I’m not sure they are open much passed mid November.

when full time used it with our 36ft Georgieboy .. they have two 5 van fields.. you can stop in one for 28days them move to other .. so extend the time..

@Colin Smith We Also stayed at The Lodge CL in Colchester .. plenty of space for your Bounder , we became friendly with the owners Paul and Caren, who were happy to let us stay over 28days .. but don't ask straight away, .. wait until you know them then speak to them ..

He has seemed fine over the last few years we have been there so I guess he’s ok now.

When I was there some 5-6 years ago his wife was by his bedside in hospital, I got the impression he didn't have long to go. Hope I got the wrong impression.
