Camping de Haro.

Pleasant, relatively small campsite a 5 minute bimble from the centre of Haro capital of the Rioja region. Lovely little town with loads of tapas bars and restaurants. If you like wine you will like it here. Campsite has a restaurant, swimming pool and good, clean facilities. Pitches are reasonable and flat. Numerous Rioja bodegas are in the vicinity, we were going to try some but Sunday they were closed because it was Sunday and Monday they were closed because? (Insert reason here).

Couldn’t find out an actual reason, unless they all get hammered on a Sunday night.

Same in a lot of countries. Speaking as someone who worked Saturday for years why are people who have weekends off surprised when people who work Saturday want two days off together as their weekend? Small businesses would then have to employ two lots of staff to open both Saturday and Sunday.

One of our 'go to' sites, reception has improved since our last visit, but pool was only open on weekends and it was roasting.
