I’m a Newbie
Hi has anyone bothered to weigh there camping chairs ?
Having sold the Mohome & gone back to tugging I thought I would get some lighter camping chairs to ease the payload on our new van , Went up to Caravan show last week & decided Isabella Thor chairs were the answer quoted weight 4.61kgs ordered two they arrived this week in a big box I noticed on the side it had printed nett weight 11 kgs , unpacked one of the chairs & got scales out & it weighed 5.50 ? Got in touch with Isabella & it appears there is a discrepancy in quoted weight of chairs !! needless to say they are going back as my current chairs are not much heavier.
I wonder how many people have bought chairs & believed the manufacturer quoted figures ?.
I believe Dukdalf leisure chairs come in under 4kgs so when have a chance will look at those .

I posted this before.. they are 2.9 kg

had them for 28 years

We have Helinox chairs as they collapse and take up little space in our camper van boot.Had then 3 years and pleased with them, weigh something like 1.5 kg each I think.
Downside is they are expensive ,we were fortunate and bought them on sale .
I hope you find what you are looking for.
Kind regards, M and P.

Work on 12kg per chair and you won’t be far out.

We've had a pair of Lafuma Alu Cham Batylines about 5 years now and they'll probably outlast us. Comfortable, well made and weigh about 3kg each.

Haven't weighed mine but I'm guessing the combined weight of both is under 5Kg. No worries.

We have used Nice C chairs for the last two years. An almost exact copy of Helinox, very similar low weight and 60 pounds for a pair on Amazon.

When it stops raining and I can be bothered, I‘ll get the name of then.
As promised, the 2 black chairs are Outdoor Revolution, each weighing in at 4.8kgs each footrest 1.1kgs, making a grand weight per chair of 5.9kgs. We also carry 2 orange Quest Traveller chairs, which weigh 2.6kgs. We tend to use the orange ones when on aires and the loungers when on site and the sun has got it’s hat on ☀️

Got the same Outdoor Revolution chairs and one footrest. We bought them because we tested dozens and they are the comfiest. There is a spare Decathlon Quecha chair in the trailer, but it doesn't get out much

Glad I read this post.
We bought 4 Lafuma chairs in 1990, we opted for the steel framed ‘Directors’ type ones as I thought they would last longer than the aluminium frames one like yours.
They’re still going strong 33 years later!
But now want a bit more comfort that yours provides being adjustable . . . so wish we’d bought those in the first place as they’re lasting so well.
So time to order a couple I think.
Which means once we’ve spent the kids inheritance they’ll at least get some long lasting camp chairs left to them in the will 😂

We’ve had lots of folding chairs since we’ve had our pvc & the Lafuma gravity chairs became too big to carry. I recently purchased this one
Amazon product ASIN B083N7WSPTand not only is it extremely small & light, it’s very comfortable too! I combine it with my trusty folding stool as either a foot rest or a wine table, & Bob’s your uncle!

Ours broke after 2 years. Our original duckdalf 16 years. Next ones 2 years again!!

Have had further conversations with Isabella & as of today they have changed the weight information on the Thor chairs to 5.50 kgs , apparently they say they didn’t realise with the changes made to the chairs over the years it has increased there weight , Could be a case of misleading or miss selling to the public ?? .

Yep, we have the same, amazing bits of kit, light and incredibly comfortable and easy to carry anywhere in a rucksack.
