Do any Funsters have any experience of this site?

It's about where we are meeting some friends next week but on Google Maps looks like a normal car park....

Thanks.

We haven't stayed there but it is obviously popular due to its location as it seems to be full tonight

Yes full tonight. Next Friday is still bookable.

I ask as it could be that Google haven't mapped it for a while.

A lot of camping car parks aren't much more than a car park but with barrier, electric, water/waste and wifi. but ok for 11 euros in my opinion,

Have been to a few and you are right. This one looks pretty awful on Google Maps.

We looked at it and didn't stay, broken glass all over the place, we actually decided to pay a little more and went to a nearby campsite.

Not used it we tend to find a cheaper campsite outside of town I know that some sites in Argeles can cost up to 55€pn

From what we've seen it's half a Carpark that's cut off for security It's some way out of town (Argeles Plage as opposed to Argeles Sur Mer which is miles away)

We only stayed there because the normal wild spots still had the height barriers in October & we were low on water. Also I thought I could get the paddleboard out but it was too awkward to get to the beach.

If full very cramped.....carpark within a carpark....OK if camping next door open for use of facilities (except pool). Not really far to beach but not many bars/restaurants.
Cheers🍻

We stayed there in May and was ok for one night stop over. The campsite was closed so was a good walk to the beach. The beach is not bad though.

We stayed at nice at St Susanne in the Loire clean and tidy and 5 minutes walk into the vilage and Chatau/Castle, a it was our 1st time on one and quite easy to get into (especially with the help of an English guy, at the time the only other M/H on there. Ended up staying 2 nights by the Sunday it was busy with another 6/7 M/H s all French and then the fun started as they all tried to leave at the same time (10am ish) the barrier would not open and one after the other they rang the designated number and got out. As luck would have it we were 3 M/Hs from the front and a local French lady took over the phone and we all got out. The original Uk couple were still on and we found out later that morning they got out O K by the normal swiping of there ticket on the machine, which had not worked for any of us. Oh and we found out it was no good us ringing as they do not or will not talk English! Its My favourite tech dynosaur saying is Tech will always let you down when you really need it. Thank God for the very pleasant French lady coming to our rescue.

We stayed on one that had problems with the barrier. Also another where we had a problem with payment. On both occasions we rang and found their English excellent and they were very helpful and solved both issues. I've used CCP's quite a bit and generally have found them good. Sites do vary in quality but they are good value for money.

Got to agree they are a good idea and that would not put us off using them next visit. The aires at Calais is on the same lines but instead of relying on the swipe ticket system, they give you a ticket on entry with the code for getting out and that worked no problem
