In the camping car booking app can’t you just book a site for tomorrow ? As the “book in advance “ option starts from a few days and book “today” is literally that

You can only book in advance if you have the premium membership, about £40pa,

We are currently in Portugal and only 3 on this site, about 25 empty, stopped in France and only about 20% full, look at the site you want to go to on the app and it will tell you how many pitches are available.

It’s not that steep - €29 for 12 months, so under £25 - but we’ve never bothered. Probably worth it if you go to CCPs in very popular areas or in high season, though.

I think if you have the privileges pack you can book between 72hrs and up to 6 months in advance. You can’t book next day. You can book same day tho!

We've never found the need to book in advance. Every CCP we've been to have had spaces. If they haven't we'd just move on to the next Aire - there's usually another one within a few miles.

The one we are in Baupume is full with 4 waiting outside

Generally if you get to a CCP in the early afternoon you should find it no problem to get a spot. I do use the app to ( out of interest) see how full they are.

The small CCP ones of 10 or so spaces do of course get full more quickly and so you might need to get there earlier in the day.

We have used them a lot on this particular trip as they have suited our plans and we have always got a spot.

We tend to move in the morning and arrive at our destination in time for lunch, maybe why we've not had a problem.
