Camper or micro camper

I am currently looking for some advice as my family are looking to purchase a camper. We have looked at buying a vehicle (such as a Citroen Berlingo multispace) and a kit, roof box etc and making a ‘micro camper’ or buying a VW camper with head space etc. Our plan would be to use it when we could but also make it into a business model and rent it out. I’m trying to establish if there is equal demand for both types of van. Any insight or advice would be great from people who are regular van users or owners. I think we’d buy with some savings and the rest hire purchase so looking to cover costs by renting it out but also aware that we’d need insurance etc. Thanks

Renting is a bit of a minefield and most advise against it for a number of reasons
If you have HP on it that could be another complication

Edit, there's certainly a market for rented motorhomes, but no idea about a berlingo. I think that market may be tiny and very niche
