Camper Contact updates (2 Viewers)

We have paid for Camper Contact for the last few years.

Yesterday I tried to update the “off-line” maps etc for France. The download went to 85% then crashed which meant that I lost the previous off-line info. Trying again today the same thing happened. My iPad and iPhone both have the latest OS.

I have sent a query to Camper Contact but wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same.

Same here - although other off line maps update easily. TBH, I normally use online anyway.

So do we but it is not always possible so like to have off-line in reserve.

I'm surprised people bother with Camper Contact, there are so many sites/stopovers not shown, I can't see the point.

I've just downloaded the France map, it did pause at 83% for a few moments but now completed. It's still my go-to app for finding aires.

Once again downloaded to 85% then “failed”.

Sent a report to Camper Contact but not holding my breath as they have not replied to, or even acknowledged, my previous report.

We are all different Les ( fortunately) and have different priorities, likes and dislikes.

Oh I get that and completely agree with you.. but when looking for somewhere to stop why choose an app that doesn't show all availabilities?

Yes, did the update but still the same problem.

If not resolved will not renew paid membership.

We tend to use Search for Sites but Camper Contact was a good addition when looking for a stay.

I only pay for the occasional month.
Although P4N may have a lot more sites lots of them are only suitable for a small camper. We have been caught out too many times only use it as a last resort.

But you've only got a small motorhome now

We find SFS best then P4N CC last resort find a lot missing on there compared to the first 2.

I often find with S4S it will show two places in a area where as Camper Contact will show 6 or 8 particularly in Spain.

We've found opposite, se below for Morella as example, 1 on CC 3 on SFS. Plus lot better mapping.

I just had this message from Camper Contact re France download.

Unfortunately, that problem has not yet been resolved. This is because the problem cannot be solved easily. Our developers are still working on this. We hope for a speedy solution.
