As in the title,I have just had the cambelt, and auxiliary belts changed. The van has covered 35k miles. It was registered March 2019, so components will be a bit older.
That's the old belt, which to be honest, it's almost impossible to see any discernible wear on it. I think that even had I caught sight of the belt beforehand I would still have replaced it. I had one go on our T25, and they go without warning, and that one didn't look to shabby either, except for the break in it and was on the list as the next job to be done . Also had the front disc and pads replaced as we tend to wear through them a bit quicker as were now 4000kg. The pads were down to 5/4mm, and we have several UK trips planned, and another French foray booked for later in the year. The back disc and pads are still well within tolerances.
I looked on line and found that the belts needing changing at anywhere between 4years, 5 years, or even 7 years, depending on mileage and main usage type.
How comfortable would you feel pushing a motorhome past the 5 year recommendation for a belt?
