my A class N&B needs a new cam belt , water pump and and anti freeze. Fiat have quoted £1500?? Does that sound right I accept that A class are a nightmare to work on. I just wanted some feedback from those in the know

OTT, cam belt should be around £600 for an A Class at a Fiat Professional about £900 with the water pump. Fiat don't recommend changing the water pump on the X290.

A Class is not much more difficult than a standard cab as most of the work is done on a ramp from underneath.

Decent independent would be about ½ that price.
Fiat garage will be £100 per hour labour.
Independent may be £45
Independant I use for servicing were dearer than Fiat garage. Prices for cambelts on Ducato seems to vary all over the place.
