Can anyone tell me what the aluminium collar on the top of a Calor Gas bottle means? Does the information on this collar help me to work out what gas I have left in the bottle? Thank you for you replies.

No. Only a gauge or a good shake will tell you what’s left in it. Never read the stuff on the collar. Must be some Calor manufacture or filling data.

One should be the net weight (cylinder empty) and Tare weight. (cylinder full).

weigh the gas bottle and note the reading,

Look for the Tare weight of the gas bottle, and deduct that from the previous reading - result is the weight of gas left in the bottle.

Best to weigh the bottle and take off the tare weight.
It will give you the weight of gas in the bottle.

The weight on the ring on Calor bottles is in Pounds and ounces.
That sounds about right for Calor, sell a product in kg but use lbs and oz for tare weights. You should try dealing with them for domestic supplies, they took their online accounts system down for a few days in April and it remains down in August with no date for a return. Their monthly statements have also been wrong for months. The staff try hard to help but the company is managed by incompetents. I wouldn’t put too much faith in them sorting out their bottle shortage and supply problems anytime soon.
