Calor gas in Spain?

Probably the silliest question of the day but is there anywhere in or near Alicante that does Calor gas bottles?

As far as I know there is no Calor outside UK.
If you do go down the road of buying a Spanish bottle, you will also need a suitable regulator. Perhaps someone will come along with a trusted place you can go to for advice.

If you have standard bulkhead mounted regulator all you need is suitable butane/propane pigtail and jumbo 35mm Spanish gas bottle connector like this and a Spanish cylinder
Easy enough to install

Just to agree that, unfortunately, Calor gas is not available outside the UK.

Ensure you get an ADAPTER and not a regulator!!

I have always found it hard to locate the adapters and tell people to buy in UK before leaving, regulators are everywhere but can't use one with your bulkhead as it causes issues and reduces the gas flow.

To be honest, I didn’t even consider it. My newbie ignorance about how my fridge worked is the reason I’m in need of this gas malarkey. Lesson learned.

Be better to go to a Motorhome dealers they will have the necessary adapter

If you get stuck here is a link to one on Amazon spain..
You can show it to people to explain what you need, maybe even order one online from Amazon.es and have it delivered somewhere.
I use google translate to convert the Spanish site into English.
You will need a Butane pigtail, which you may already have is you have the blue calor bottles.
Second hand empty REPSOL or CEPSA spanish bottles can be picked up 10-15 euros from people selling on campsites, facebook sellig groups or look for "rastros" like second hand shop / boot sales... You can then exchange for a full bottle just like you do in UK.

some garages will refill any type of cylinder from there bulk tank using there own adaptors.

I think some Spanish LPG retailers would let you fill a lemonade bottle or even a bucket

The lack of compatibility is annoying. I have let nearly an entire bottle of gas vent to the atmosphere as a result of not having the correct fitting, due to incompatibility.

The problem was solved with a 40cent rubber washer...
