Do morelos come with blinds as standard or are they optional extras?

Just every morelo I see seems to sit in the pitch dark with all the lights on and the TV and not a closed blind in sight ?

There's 2 here who'd make a great target for a nazi bomber or two .. everyone else has closed blinds.

I was gonna go ask if they wanted to borrow a blanket

Maybe they want to show everybody how nice their vans are?
Cheers, Dave

Always leave our blinds open until quite late, I think it's odd that people close their blinds and hide.
I was gonna say the odd carthago owner does it too lol.

There must be 50 vans on here ...I think there's 4 in total sat with blinds open so everyone can see them watching the telly.

And it's never older or cheaper vans.

I'll take a lot of convincing thst it isn't a "look at me look at me " move lol

When you close the blinds it feels like you have shut yourself off from the world and are hiding in a little box.
Camping is about the big outdoor experience, even if you are doing it in luxury.

Fortunately they are inclusive, because the Morelo is so well compartmentalized there’s no need to close the lounge blinds, the added benefit is no condensation. It’s also worth noting the lighting plan is exceptionally good. Your blanket is safe with you for now.

Must be in the German issue handbook, the Grand Liner we were parked next to in Koblenz, massive glass swan sculpture and the biggest bunches of plastic flowers in the windows, never closed the blinds, spoke to no one and just sat scowling at everyone and everything , might add they were not from this site! ;)

We close the blinds when it gets dark, as it puts me off decanting the wine into the crystal decanter if I get flashes of light from outside.
Hope that helps 😁😁😁😁
You don't need them, generally its a collection of drying T shirts, did you not get a tumble dryer for Phil as well?::bigsmile:

Ah ha so it is a definite morelo thing then lol.

There's been a few out here commented .. the big one here actually looks like a mobile dental surgery 🤣
That was a brilliant survey!

You made an observation - "all Xs seem to do Y". And all the Xs came out to tell you yes it's true, and to defend themselves.

Could it be because, during daylight, they know that the tinted windows prevent anyone seeing inside and it affects their timing of closing their blinds at night? 🤷‍♂️

How do you see them if your blinds are down? 😁
I'm sat outside socialising with 5 other brits and 2 Germans.

The big morelo is the talk of the place....well that and the huge single decker French bus with a trailer and 4x4 on it who have 7 ....yes 7 children there with them lol.

No tinted windscreen and cab windows on this .

And it's been dark 2 hours . . They're actually spoiling the dark sky and the stars lol .. its like Blackpool illuminations in there lol

Wow, 7 kids. 2 nieces and 2 nephews are enough

We are with Lenny HB on this subject.

We rarely close blinds or curtains, only when sun is annoying us. We do not even close them at night, rxcept bedroom curtains.

We find use of curtains more flexible as they can be drawn part-way.

We have not watched TV in the MH since we got together 14 years ago.

Anyway in warm climes we are usually still outside till well after sunset, especially since we have had our re-chargeable battery powered lantern.

[EDIT - just realised it was only for Morelo owners to reply. Well we did go to the Morelo Open W/E. We are just buying a nice 3-bed 150 sq m. house with garden and two large garages for price of a Loft with extras]

Mine sits with blinds closed all day to keep sun out and the van cool when it's warm . Most vans here the blinds are shut all day ... many have silver screens on them

At night it's pitch dark outside as no street lights nearby etc .. only 4 vans sat here with all blinds open and all lights on lol.

But it's something I've seen often ....the German guy sat here has a big hymer ...he's very funny for a German and he keeps referring to the morelo as nueshwanstein lol

I think it's a Palace

I guess it's no different to folk sitting in their lounge with all the lights on and no curtains, plenty of them when I take the dog for a mooch, I'd no more do it in my house than my motorhome, different strokes for different folks.

Of course it's fine. It is entertaining social commentary though.

Here we are on our campsite. The peasants in their PVCs, the mittelschicht in their A classes and König Ludwig in Neuschwanstein. A little microcosm. :giggle:
