Calibration is not working trying too calibrate my water tank and waste tank I have 0.03v on fresh water tank and the waste is 0.00v and I have put a new prob in the fresh water tank but with no joy has any one else had this problem any help would be appreciated

Sadly water tank measuring seems very hit and miss. Waste tank even worse with detritus generating false readings.

Hi there and welcome.

Tank levels are so hit and miss I take them as just a guide.
Good luck with the calibration Joe you can get it sorted.

Mopeka ultrasonic device seems to be the only reliable measure apart from a sight glass like you get on an oil tank

Thank you for your comments it very much appreciated it is a challenge to get it sorted I must say

I never look at mine, because I know they will be wrong... 🤷‍♂️

but no big deal, just fill up with fresh when empty .. and top up before leaving the site

empty grey waste when full ... and before leaving the site

likewise toilet cassette ..

works for me

but if you love a challenge... crack on..

and welcome to MHF

I've given up trying to get my gauges to work properly. After a few years I pretty well know our water state (the gauge does give a reading, if inaccurate) and generally top up whenever I have the opportunity. Luckily I don't have the payload problem some do - 100l of water = 100kg! And if the water needs topping up/refilling it's a given that the waste tank needs emptying too and while I'm at it the loo gets emptied.

In 15 years of motorhoming I've never had the situation of a completely full cassette although these days I carry a spare cassette on longer trips.

My level gauges are pointless so i added some float switches and leds to help.

Ive seen a few similar posts as I read through much of the site.

Not possible in all motorhomes, I expect, but draw a pipe from the bottom of the fresh water tank, to the garage or a service hatch, and place a tee joint on it at a level lower than bottom of tank. On the vertically upward leg of the tee, attach a clear/transparent pipe and it'll show the level in the tank.
On the other leg, attach a drain cock.
Just put a small coloured ball or something else coloured that floats, into the transparent pipe to highlight the level and wrap tape or a cable-tie around the bottom of the clear pipe, where the level will be when it's empty.

Ensure the top of the clear pipe is higher than the top of the tank to avoid spillage. I'm not sure how well it'll work for black tanks but it should work for grey and fresh tanks. Always accurate on level ground.
