Depends what gas source you think you will use the most. If you can connect to your onboard gas supply then the LP version is the way to go. If you think you will be mostly using the screw on cylinders then HP is the answer. That said, whichever version you buy you can convert to the other (i.e. LP to HP or HP to LP) - it's just a matter of an adaptor or two.Hoping to buy a Cadac Safari Chef 2 with the quick release - unsure about getting the HP or LP version - are there any pros and cons of each type?
I didn't realise that you could convert both. I'm thinking of getting one but wasn't sure about LP or HP. I'd like to have the option to connect to either source of gas depending on were I'm cooking.Depends what gas source you think you will use the most. Great - that's what I need for the same reason. ThanksYou can go HP to LP but not other way round.
LP into HP wouldn’t work as unless somehow pumping to add pressure not enough flow at the burner.
On my Safari Chef I have LP burner and have short has and adapter to connect HP cartridge anticipating the day I might get a connector from the onboard LPG
