Why don't these exist? People say they're like a coffin... that could be rectified with a pop-top..?

Guess it's not structurally possible?

Panel van has walls strong enough to take a roof rack and load. Also stiffer when you cut a big hole in it.

Coachbuilds not so much? Wouldn't have thought they were load rated for much while driving.

Perhaps the crochet walls are light weight, if less able to keep the rain out?

See that to me looks like it makes the same head room as a normal over cab.
Then again I'm half-cut so...
Nope, it gives a lot more 'head' room ...

By sheer coincidence I saw one yesterday in the September edition of the Camping & Caravan magazine.

Love the stairs, that's immense.

Looks like a really innovative configuration. Fixed bed advantages and no drop down bed disadvantages. Pity it’s so long though. 6m ideal for us.

We saw one at our local caravan show last year when it was launched, the fact it had stairs in it was just a wow, jumbo-jet like. Very novel layout and certainly different.

I've seen in a magazine a sprinter 4x4 PVC with a normal pop-top and staircase, it was £212k so I would hate to see the cost of this one o_O
