Hi, not 100% sure but Im led to believe you are unable to buy a used vehicle in France if you are not an eu resident, its probably about reregistering the carte gris to a uk address. As for new, check with a dealer but probably fall foul of import/export taxes, may make it less palatable.Hi, has anyone purchased their used or new motorhome in France? Not the "left Hand Drive Car Centre" is it?There is a dealer in Basingstoke that sells EU registered Moho. Our friends bought one last year. I will try and find who he is but google may help.
Iv'e only ever bought in Germany. It's unlikely to be financially beneficial these days, too much red tape and the exchange rate is not the best if you are taking it to UK. I see you seem to be in Portugal, so it may be easier to export form France to there?Hi, has anyone purchased their used or new motorhome in France? Thank you . Yes, currently living in Portugal. MH too expensive here to buy hence the French idea. Still lots of research to do on this matter .Iv'e only ever bought in Germany. Thank you . Such a bugger all this . Need to do more research .Hi, not 100% sure but Im led to believe you are unable to buy a used vehicle in France if you are not an eu resident, its probably about reregistering the carte gris to a uk address. Probably a good idea to look for a dealer that is used to exporting? There were a few dealers in Germany that were on the ball. The ones that spring to mind were Palmowski in Bielefeld and I think Dumo in Duelmen also export. I've not used them but I've heard they do export. If you google 'wohnmobil export deutschland' you'll find a whole host of dealers. Sorry, I know it's not France but Germany might be a better option. Also if you have not visited Broken Link Removed then that would be a good place to start. It's like a European/German Autotrader but a whole lot better.Thank you . Yes, currently living in Portugal. We were going to move to Portugal before settling on France. One of the put-offs was the import duties levied on bringing vehicles in which brought the total price up in line with Portuguese prices and those were astronomic.Thank you . Beware of the import taxes into Portugal. Can be very steep, based on engine size and emissionsThank you . Yes, currently living in Portugal. MH too expensive here to buy hence the French idea. Still lots of research to do on this matter .
