Hi, not 100% sure but Im led to believe you are unable to buy a used vehicle in France if you are not an eu resident, its probably about reregistering the carte gris to a uk address. As for new, check with a dealer but probably fall foul of import/export taxes, may make it less palatable.

Don't think French dealers would want to go to the hassle of exporting a vehicle. The process is complicated enough with a French address and residence.

Your best bet would be a UK dealer although they surely will be selling at a premium.

On the other hand, we have a very nice older Laika for sale, which we are in the process of replacing with an Esterel from Hunyvers who have been pretty good to deal with.

Pretty sure you need a French address. Thats just to register it at for Insurance, Carte Grise (log book) CT etc. Lot more hoops to jump through than the UK.
Bodoge beat me to it..... (y)

Iv'e only ever bought in Germany. It's unlikely to be financially beneficial these days, too much red tape and the exchange rate is not the best if you are taking it to UK. I see you seem to be in Portugal, so it may be easier to export form France to there?

Thank you . Yes, currently living in Portugal. MH too expensive here to buy hence the French idea. Still lots of research to do on this matter .

Probably a good idea to look for a dealer that is used to exporting? There were a few dealers in Germany that were on the ball. The ones that spring to mind were Palmowski in Bielefeld and I think Dumo in Duelmen also export. I've not used them but I've heard they do export. If you google 'wohnmobil export deutschland' you'll find a whole host of dealers. Sorry, I know it's not France but Germany might be a better option. Also if you have not visited Broken Link Removed then that would be a good place to start. It's like a European/German Autotrader but a whole lot better.

We were going to move to Portugal before settling on France. One of the put-offs was the import duties levied on bringing vehicles in which brought the total price up in line with Portuguese prices and those were astronomic.
