burstner lyseo 590

March 2022
First quote in for a tow bar on our burstner 590…..£1760 if it needs chassis extensions,… £1100 without!! :Eeek::Eeek:💷

If the van is pre 2015 you can have one made. After this you need a type approved bar

The last bar I had made was £300 including the electrics

Is yours on a fiat chassis or an alko? You can buy the alko ones and extensions fairly reasonably

Depends how far you are prepared to travel but Lincoln Towbars are very competitive.
Lincoln Towbar and Mobility Centre 01522 524444 or Amy (Partner in the firm) 07484 932438
We are in the midlands so ideally placed tbf

M Parkinson
Preston, Lancs (google motorhome towbars lancashire)
had a couple of brand new Burstner vans in yard when he fit my tow bar.
You can catch bus into Lytham or St Annes from road outside whilst he fits it.

Just on the way home from there
Mike fitted mine yesterday to my Pilote £675 and he loaned me a car for the morning.
Tied it in with a visit to Lytham St Annes, Southport and Crosby.

Pretty sure the date is April 2012 registrations onwards for type approval.
I bought a new autotrail in Jan 2012 and a second hand PWS bar that just bolted on 👍

Does it need to be type approved, cars do but if the Motorhome is registered as over 3500kgs and gets light goods Road tax.
Is it then a commercial vehicle, thus not requiring type approval for a towbar.

Checked today….it’s painted (black) so fiat
Fiat chassis are white so what you are looking at painted black will be chassis extentions, can't bolt a towbar to them.

You won’t need chassis extension, virtually no rear overhang. Looking at the photos a standard van towbar may fit.
Call towtrust at Atherstone and ask for thier technical department.
01827 717412 they don’t sell direct but will give you the part numbers, there’s a mobile fitter in Swadlincote that’s very reasonable.
