New for 2024 Burstner are leading the innovations again with a lightweight, air pressure powered slide-out on their latest coachbuilt model the Lyseo Lounge. Instead of rigid walls their version uses an inflatable tent bellows supported by rails extending 65cm. Full details here https://www.promobil.de/neuheiten/b...UJ4W-HSLiidQwN0s-yTPX66QYxU62X1IaMqRh804P2OZc & photos also by Pro Mobil taken at the recent Dusseldorf Show. It's just a prototype atm so no prices & not yet in production but their pop top coachbuilt https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...o-gallery-coachbuilt-with-pop-up-roof.256739/ has now gone into production https://www.buerstner.com/gb/en/motorhomes/lyseo-gallery-td so who knows.

but is it just another thing that will need dried out like an awning before putting it away?

Induction hob? Does it have enough solar/battery/inverter to power that or are you always expected to be on EHU?

Imagine turning up to a CAMC site in that and being told to put your back wheel to the white peg, then you push the button, extending the slide out into next door's pitch, the warden's head would explode !

Expect there will now need to be a 'brief' ten page addition to 'The Rules' concerning slide outs.

Whatever next ?
You'll be wanting to rechange your motorhome next

"Not on my watch you wont, we wont be 'aving none of that poncy leki stuff on my site .................."

Looks great but will it all still work when the motorhome is 10 years old?
I cant see "inflatable bellows" having a long lifespan.
What happens when they get a puncture or split?
Adria had a rear slide out on one of their Compact models a few years ago.
It was quickly dropped from the range, but I don't know if it was dropped due to problems or perhaps it was just too expensive to produce.
